13 Years of Writing, 7 Years of Gaming: Welcome to My New Blog
It's been quite some time since I've been pondering over the question: should I be approaching established companies or publications to publish blogs, or should I just go all in and launch a blog of my own?
Yes, visibility and ad revenue are major questions that I still am not sure about. But you know what? I have to start at some point in time, because it's been around 13 years since I've been writing and about 7 years since I've been writing specifically about video games.
What I aim to do with this blog is to curate multiple guides on multiple video games. As a reader, you would know if that topic is interesting to you because I will go all out on the title. So, if the title interests you, it's most likely you'll see everything related to that within the blog.
Now, what's going to be different within this blog is that I'll make sure posts from multiple platforms are included. Let's say there's an upcoming patch for a video game. I would find the official post, go through reviews from multiple sources, and list the best creator opinion on it.
Take YouTube as an example. If 30 creators cover the same announcements, everyone will be unique. The official content is identical, but their takes on the updates will differ depending on their approach towards the game. Curating that is what I'll be focusing on. You will find YouTube links, Reddit links, X posts, Facebook links, and Instagram links all sorted to that specific topic, probably in one whole post. That's the aim.
Being a major tech guy, going all in on technology and gaming hardware will be a big part of my daily posts. The objective is to post around four blogs daily. We'll keep going with that for roughly two to three weeks and see what can be done after that.
Hopefully, if everything falls into place within the next couple of days, you should see regular posts from my side with regards to video games.
But honestly... is he actually one shot though?
